Supporting you with feeding your newborn – breast, bottle and more!

Feeding your baby
Bringing a baby into the world is an exciting, joyful, and truly life-changing experience. Alongside the joy however, there may be challenges that feel completely overwhelming. One of the first hurdles many new parents encounter is feeding their baby, whether it’s with breast milk, formula, or a combination of both, and getting support in the early days and weeks of your feeding journey can make a dramatic difference to you being able to achieve your feeding goals, helping you to feel more confident and less anxious as you get the hang of parenthood.

Support for you
If you’re currently pregnant and planning to breast or chest feed, the very best time to learn about breastfeeding is BEFORE your baby is born, exploring practical ways to set yourself up for success and get your infant feeding journey off to the best start.
If your baby is already here and you are experiencing problems with feeding, or with related issues such as slow weight gain, colic or reflux, I can visit you at home and help you navigate the challenges and joys of your baby’s unique feeding experience. I will give you the time and space you need to talk, work out your feeding goals, ask questions, get hands-on practical support and advice, whilst feeling truly heard.

Infant feeding client feedback
We saw Tamsin when our son was only 4 days old. I was feeling sore and desperate; I have large breasts and was really struggling with getting him positioned, and I wasn’t sure that I could carry on with breastfeeding. She showed us different positions and all sorts of tricks like using a rolled-up muslin to lift the boob, as well as breast-shaping for a better latch. With her help we had the longest and most successful feed so far; it was the first time it hadn’t felt painful, and he then had a lovely long sleep on his dad’s chest, which was another first for us.
Testimonial from Amber
I had an easy breastfeeding journey first time around, so I wasn’t prepared for things being so different with our second son! He had a tongue tie revision at 4 weeks, but 3 weeks later feeding was still proving painful, with a really shallow latch, and he was struggling with my strong letdown. I had an online consultation with Tamsin and she taught me the ‘nipple sandwich’ technique which was an absolute gamechanger for us, as well as how to correctly hand express just before a feed so as to avoid little A being overwhelmed by my milk letdown!
